Here are my afternoon investing strategy notes for Oct 22 2015 along a number of trade ideas and updates.
The strength of today’s rally in somewhat impressive. Volume by 2:30 is already at 2.8 billion shares traded and new highs are up to 78. Interestingly though new lows have also risen and are now at 50 for New York. On the NASDAQ new highs are 82 but new lows are at 72. Up volume on New York is actually just 60% which means the rally is not as broad-based as you would think.
This could mean more dips lie ahead possibly as early as tomorrow. It also means a smaller number of stocks are pushing the market higher.
