With the S&P, Dow and Russell 2000 indexes sitting at all-time highs there is some concern among investors that stocks are “too high” and will correct soon. I see nothing that advises me that this is about to happen and instead I am continuing to trade among stocks that are in my portfolio or on my watch list. The strikes and strategies I will be using are explained along with other trade ideas which could be considered depending on an investor’s comfort level, amount of capital available and expertise.
A lot of investors worry about trading options heading into earnings, whereas I look forward to the added volatility and premiums and enjoy bigger profits as stocks head into earnings. But to do that requires understanding the technical tools and what they are telling me.
July certainly has started off well and because the start of the second week of July could see some market weakness here are 4 stocks I am considering for trades for Monday. Almost all of them I will probably enter.
The first article explains in full detail the approach I often take when studying a stock for trade opportunities and for safety of capital. The remaining 3 trades explain the strikes I am considering and strategies. Investors should consider using the tools I present in the first stock trade outlined to study the last 3 stocks and see what they can uncover as to the possible direction and why I would consider the strikes I have, especially as we head into earnings.
