The 2015 USA Portfolio is now posted and while only a few of the positions I am holding are included, you can still see that the portfolio is off to a good start despite the high volatility and continually whipsaws in the market. Even today, intraday volatility saw the VIX Index moved from $18.21 to $19.28 and then close back at $18.55 which is still a gain of 7.29% for one day. Dennis Gartman, a well-known investor for the past 40 years was speaking last week on CNBC and commented that this was the worst continual volatility he had ever seen in all his years of investing.

On Jan 2 2015, the S&P opened the year at $2058.90. Today it closed at $2046.74, basically down just slightly more than half a percent. In other words, the S&P has gone nowhere. This year I am looking forward to seeing if I can beat the returns of 2014. The higher volatility will definitely assist as it is driving up option premiums and allowing for more intraday trades, especially with the Trading For Pennies Strategy.

With the new web spreadsheets I am using in the 2015 USA Portfolio the trades should be added quicker this year than last and the portfolio is linked to all the trades as they are posted allowing the portfolio page to be updated instantly when a new trade is added to individual stocks and ETF tables. This will make it easier and quicker for members to be able to follow trades as they are developing and review outcomes as well as repair and rescue efforts if needed.

2015 promises to be an exciting but to date, highly volatile year. These new trade tables should assist greatly in keeping trades current. One of the trades I am looking forward to adding is the Apple Stock Biweekly Put Selling Strategy trades. These trades have done exceptionally well to date and with the stock continuing to perform well, this strategy is bringing in huge gains for the portfolio.

I will be updating the 2015 trades all this week for my trades done to date. Meanwhile the remaining trades for 2014 that need to be updated will be done after 2015 trade tables are brought “online”.
